Arthur Jones "Scorpio" 529.350 VG+/VG+ 1971 Original

This record and it's jacket are a solid VG+

Arthur Jones's "Scorpio," released in 1971, is a raw and intense exploration of free jazz, marked by Jones’s impassioned alto saxophone playing that blazes with emotional urgency and unrestrained improvisation. Accompanied by a dynamic ensemble including Beb Guérin on bass, Claude Delcloo on drums, and Jacques Coursil on trumpet, Jones crafts a sound that is both chaotic and meditative, drawing listeners into an atmosphere that feels spontaneous yet deeply intentional. The album’s tracks are bold and expressive, reflecting Jones’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of jazz beyond conventional structures, making "Scorpio" a powerful, if under-the-radar, contribution to the avant-garde jazz scene.
